    Default Quick Car Question. Input Please!

    I'm looking at getting a different car, something with lower payments than my Ram.

    I found the following:

    2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS
    3.0L V6 (Obviously)
    Manual Transmission
    Full AEM Cold Air System
    Exhaust (Dunno what kind yet, to lazy to look under the car.)
    Pearl White Paint
    Black and Blue Leather Interior
    All the GTS perks, leather, sunroof, blah blah blah
    45k miles


    For $11,000





    Will drop my payments by about $100/month

    Just wanted someone's input since I'm not very familiar with Eclipses, or just anyone with anything to say for that matter.
    I'm on a 24 hour test drive and have to take it back in the morning with a decision.

    Input is welcomed and wanted. Let me know.

    Oh don't you fret none, Buddha. The Chevelle came back from the frameshop Tuesday and is being put back together as we speak.

    I have a 2002 Eclipse GT, and honestly I really like it but I definately would not buy this with intentions of making it performance oriented unless you plan on spending a lot of money. Everyone has their opinion about these cars, most hate them, but I like a few that I see on the street. Most of them I see just look stupid so I can understand why people don't like them. But I think it's a fun car to have, I've enjoyed it so far.

    I've had a few problems with this car. I don't know much about repairs so I never fixed them. The first was 2 of the motor mounts broke, under warranty so no big deal. Passenger side door stopped opening, I think that cost 200.00 or so for the dealer to fix. The pins that hold down the intake snorkel came off so the intake would suction onto the hood during acceleration. A few months ago the car would just shut off at stop lights, it wouldn't idle. Luckily it was just the intake manifold was stopped up. All problems were easily fixed so no real problems.

    oh yea, the price doesn't seem bad either, mine was 13,000 and it had 37K on it. If the intake is in good condition I might offer to buy it from you if you want some extra money.

    if your goin for looks, i say if you get it, shave the side moldings on the doors, looks so much better ( personal opinion, but think about it, you might like it)
