You ever run into issues with the cops with this? I looked at building one of these using the kit from www.thatsdax.com and www.sickbikeparts.com a few years ago but scrapped the idea since there's no way to make it legal by even the lax GA scooter laws. Props to you if you're able to sell these $160 kits installed to people for $300, and props again if these bikes hold up to any sort of abuse. Walmart bikes blow in longterm reliability, they're built like toys, not meant for any serious mileage.

I just sucked it up and got into shape, I used to be able to keep up with my old coworker racing her on her scooter. In stop and go traffic the road bike will always win, late at night on open roads the scooter will win. I'd still like to build one of these but on a nice lightweight road frame with TT bars and a front disc brake.
