    Default SPOOLIN PROJECT MAYHEM RESURRECTED

Well as alot of you know, we "lost" his motor the first time we tried to dyno it. SIKE

It was all a big joke. we were trying to keep the numbers secret before ISD but we ended up not being able to take his car anyway cause of some ignition problems.

Yes its a cruel joke, but we started joking posting false numbers and I was like "it would be cool to tell everyone it blew up, then show up at ISD".

well, JOKES ON YOU! Car runs great, we havent gotten to push her yet, but heres what she made

    MODS:
    2.0l LSVTEC
GE Sleeves, CP pistons, Eagle Rods

That thing will FLY once it's able to get pushed all the way.

Good job Spoolin, Main Stream, TurboDave and Scotty.

I believe he now has the highest HP on freeware.

talk to mike about the plugs, we didnt even use them. They were too large to go in the head. Correct thread and size, just too big around in the center.

yeah this isnt a street car. I have all the stuff to get good traction. My last setup was easy 1.7 60 foots consistently and i had some 1.6's sometimes.

question, if u don't mind. what does it take to get thoose 60ft's in that car, besides the "driver mod"?

    fatass slick
    traction bars
    drag setup coilovers

    whatelse?

you need some BIG slicks and a stage boost controler on those srt-4's they make too much torque for the tires. Not to mention they are heavy as hell. Weight makes a big difference in getting out of the hole. You have a longer wheelbase which make a little bit of a difference but thats nothing that a stage boost controler wont fix.

oh yeah of course but my car does'nt make no where near the power spoolin car does. i know its hard for most FWD cars to get traction with a good amount of power being put to the ground. so, how the hell is he getting thoose 60ft times with that much power. i'm not doubting what he said cause i've seen many honda get thoose 60ft with that kind of power i was just wondering how it was done, what he was doing to his car.

I believe Spoolin's using Omni Power suspension, 24.5x8x13" slicks, Avid motor mounts and the MSD two step.

He was pulling 1.7s on trashy Tokico suspension.

when i was doing that i wasnt doing a gear dependant controller, and i still havtn made the switch. For the next few weeks ill still be on trashy tokicos until the omnis come in. Hopefully by Import faceoff that will be squared away.

Its simple, i launch at 8-10 psi. and minimal burnout.

Well his old setup he launched at 7k and he doesnt dump or preload the clutch. RPM really doesnt matter too much with making boost. I know with uberdata he was making 6-8psi on the 2 step, which really isnt that much. I think on his new setup doing some part throttle pulls and watching the boost gauge he makes somewhere around 250whp @ 8 psi. But he hasnt go the 2 step hooked up on the new one yet so there really isnt any telling how much boost he will make on the launch limiter yet. So really coming out of the hole on 250whp isnt too bad. You can tell when the car is spinning even with slicks, just watching a car you can tell the difference in a 1.6 60' and a 1.8. Reading around on H-T the sfwd guys pull around those 60' times, but the key is the 330' mark. There were some guys compairing times and one may have the faster 60 but the other made it back up within the 330'. Really its all about seat time. Just remember, what may work for someone else amy not work for you.

    BTW

Mickey Thompson even states on their site that MINIMAL burnout is require and extends tire life span. So all those monster burnouts you see arent needed. Just watch the pro fwd's they arent doing some monster burnout.
