Rx8 owners, talk to me....
well, my old boss works at a Mazda dealer selling mazdas, and told me he could get me a good trade on my GTI for either the Mazdaspeed 6, or the RX8. obviously the RX is my first choice, but damn, that 6 is looking good on the stats. i love my GTI, but its time for another car. looking into the new GTI V as well, but VW is stingy as hell. anyone wanna help steer me in a direction or just provide a brotha with some info?
Suprisingly, they are both very livable in-town, but the RX-8 be that little bit more sports car feel and the gas mileage and insurance is probably worse than the MS6. I love both cars too, and would probably have to see if I needed the cheaper insurance and gas savings to choose the MS6. Plus, the MS6 will be more easy to get power out of since it is turboed.
Tough choice there. I would probably go with the RX-8 becuase I shortly owned one and loved driving it!

Reality: I'm just messing with you. Both are great and I didn't realize the MS6 was AWD. I am just highly confident in what I can do with a rotary and the balance of the RX8. I haven't had any seat time on a MS6, so I don't really know how good/bad they are. As you can tell, I am a big Mazda fan.

but its not a true AWD, it something where when it needs the traction it will goto awd i believe

If you get an RX-8, make sure you get the extended warranty. Those cars are heaps of shit. My friend is a tech at Mazda. He has gotten really good at swapping out the engines in them.

mmmmm i would go with the ms6 just cause its so damn sexy in blue.
the assistant manager at my store has one and it's been a raging heap of shit and he's even had all the dealer recommended maintenance done at the damn dealer. it's spent it's fair share of time with mazda and it just keeps breaking new things.
I thought the RX7 was more fragile than the RX8. Maybe I can add the RX7 back to my list of options...
Does he want to trade it for an old Mustang? I can keep an RX8 running right no problem.

I have an rx-8 and I have had no problems with mine.
Don't get one if you plan on modding it. I was a toss up between an rx-8/s2000/350z for me, but I came into a really good deal on the 8.
It's a fun car to drive to and from work but I am not even going to think about modding it. That's just putting my self into a hole.
good luck with which one you choose. Drive the 8 they're a fun car to drive but like lots of people said you could get stuck with a bad apple.

I was pretty disapointed when I went to the zoom zoom event and test drove the rx8. I had more fun in the miata...
