i've been wanting to construct a simulator for years, when i get a garage that will be one of the first projects...

A stripped 300zx aluminum unibody only weighs a couple hundred lbs, maybe closer to a few but I know I can lift most of it by myself...anyways, I wanted to mount the projector on the roof (probably at the front of the center t-top bar, unless it's a slick top) with the screen somewhere at the end of the hood (if it had a hood). Gotta have bass shakers on the floor and the back of the seat with the smallest 5.1 system i can find to mount around you...two on the pillars, two behind you where about where the factory rears sit (just facing towards you), center channel where the radio would be, and a bandpass box in the trunk area for a powerful 12.

Simply bolt a large rubber castor wheel at each corner so it can be easily moved around. It would be killer to by able to have some sort of pneumatic setup that would raise and lower the back and front or if you're going through a banked turn tilt it side to side...no longer a relatively low budget then though.

there was a really cool gt4 simulator at the detriot auto show, it was at the subaru expo it had a recaro racing seat and a racing steering wheel with a flat screen tv then it had this kinda "rollcage" with wrc stickers all over it . it also had a thing that simulated all the movmeants it was cool dut had a realy long line so i skipped it
i will get picks if i can find them (took like 200 pics there great fun!)
