Besides Tom Brady you are just a number ..and I get that its a business...however when moves like this happen why would you be suprised....he went to the team that gave him some cash...the patriots offered him 3 mill less....You would leave to...

I say go Wes....good luck in Denver....

"the patriot way" is why the patriots are the patriots. If Wes Welker didnt drop the catch that would have won the superbowl.... i doubt they would be having so much trouble offering him the contract he wants.

Didnt show him any love? name me a slot receiver that makes 9.3 million a year (what we paid him LAST year). Welker was 31, and he dropped ARGUABLY the two biggest passes of Tom Bradys career, 1 to win the superbowl vs the Giants, and 1 that basically sealed our fate on a 3rd and long vs the Ravens this year.

We will be just fine without him, and I am not upset he left. I am upset he went to peyton mannings team, but he has to do what he has to do. In the end, the Broncos didnt think he was worth more than 6 million a year.

Also, Wes Welker was paid in the TOP 4 of ALL WIDE RECEIVERS last year, he was paid more than:
    Calvin johnson
    Santonio Holmes
    Roddy White
    Sidney Rice
    DHB

Do you think hes in the same league as Roddy White, Santonio Holmes and Megatron? I didnt think so.

Welker is a slot receiver that benefits from the QB , TE , and WR packages. He did jack shit in Miami. Hes a great talent, but hes getting old, and his quickness is fading.

Being the highest paid #3 WR in the NFL on the NFL's most prestigious team with arguably the best QB of all time was not enough for the GREAT Wes Welker..... he needed more money.......

I'm personally glad to see that the "Patriot way" doesnt bend...... even for the likes of Wes Welker.

Yeah but for this year they were trying to pay him HALF of that...if I was a player i would say hell no too....pay me my money....football is a very violent sport in which careers end much quicker...

and Wes is equal to Roddy IMO and much better then Santonio.....and I am a falcons guy so.....
