Anything but a Datsun and you're in.

    Honda would be preferable.

Uh... You can't be cool in the import scene with an American car. Unless you're stacked like Vin Dreamy.

I think he could pull off being cool with a Miata.

Only if you put a rising sun on your hood though.

To be cool in the car scene:

-Slam car, doesn't matter what you use, BUT IT MUST-BE-SLAMMED.
-Buy at LEAST 8 inch wide wheels, low offset is a MUST.
-Buy tires that don't fit, stretch those things.
-Put a lip on your car, hang something from the back bumper. Anything.
-Colored headlights are a MUST. JDM yellow is good.

Go to meets, stand around, talk about how you scrape this and that and how cool that is.

    That's all.

Simon, you forgot a couple IMPORTANT keys.

    - Zipties. These are to replace any bolts. Consider it a weight savings.
    - Remove the front bumper to show off your eBay intercooler.
    - Drift charm. Can't be considered a street racer without it.

Oh tow hooks too, with the decals. I hate getting stuck in gravel traps without a hook!

I like how the majority of posters in this thread, either are OG's, have decent/nice cars, or can spell w/ correct grammar.

I have yet to see any Ziptiers, plastidippers, mad scrappers, or JDM too cool multicolor posters.

you guys are doing it all wrong. you have to spray paint your honda for it to be cool. and that lip can't be from ebay anymore. home depot son. ebay rims if you got the bank for them, but steelies spray painted black will do to. Don't forget to drop a b16 in your gutted hatch, and you have to do your own custom wire tuck and battery relocation just because you think you know what your doing. the final touch is putting every sticker you could possibly find to cover up dents, scratches, and to create blind spots in your window. once you get all this done, you're gonna have the baddest honda on the block and you will stand out at meets.

No, ricers use eBay lips. Home Depot lips would be far too functional.

Depends on the "lip", but most Home Depot type lips if made right serve as air dams, which will work.

    Something like this:

Would definitely be functional. As long as it doesn't bend and move around a lot.
