Uh... yes you can. Please point me to any GA law that says you can't please, thanks. Anyway, you can absolutely drink and carry all day long, you just can't shoot your weapon if you are drunk or under the influence of anything else; unless you are defending yourself and then it's allowed. You just can't go to a bar and then go to the shooting range, that's illegal under GA law. If it's a "Bar" you need the owner's permission. Taco Mac is not a bar, it is a restaruant, no need for permission but any place can ask you to leave for carrying, if you don't it's trespassing. Granted I conceal, but if Taco Mac sees it or if you OC then they will ask you to leave, the owners are big ANTI.
Not all bars are anti. I carry at Corner Tavern with the owners permission.

Wow, a whole lot of projecting going on in this thread. I've never gone into a bar with my weapon looking for a problem, in fact I hope to never need to use it and hope to god I never will. I've also never had a problem with my weapon jumping out of its holster and it going off by itself. I've stayed out of trouble my entire life therefore I'm allowed to carry and defend myself against the types of people who disregard ANY carry laws. I'm well within the law to carry at a bar with the owner's permission so I guess the state of Georgia is just knowingly letting "fucking idiots" take their legally carried weapons into bars. I guess it's the same thing as letting "fucking idiots" get behind the wheel and drive around the streets in Atlanta.

There is a bar in the back woods of alabama that allows you to carry, If you dont have a gun they will give you one at the door. There has not been so much as one punch thrown at that bar in the 25+ years its been open. If the people of the butt crack of alabama can control themself in a bar with guns im sure we can to in atlanta.

I carry everywhere I go, except the bar. You simply dont need one there and I would be hesitant to go out drinking at any bar that encouraged the people they are serving to carry a loaded weapon.
As far as taco mac is concerned, I look it like hooters or BWW. It is a food place that also serves alcohol. If you go in and have a beer while you eat, go right ahead. That is far different than walking in to your local bar to get hammered while you eat nachos and watch a game.

You might want to try reading again.
If your arguement is personal security and getting back to your family, or whatever other significant reason, your first thought/ instinct should be to avoid places or situations that are life threatening (obviously you feel the environment is if you have to carry an object that allows you to take someone's life before they take yours) in the first place. its more like "fucking pussy" if you have to carry in a place that. If you find it mandatory to carry in a place like tacomac, either your seriously a paranoid little pussy or your a psycho waiting your someone to threaten you so you can shoot someone the first "legal" chance you get, and maybe even earn yourself five minutes of fame. when your your going to taco mac, seriously, whats the worst you think might really happen? someone gonna rob the bar at gunpoint? i HIGHLY doubt that. if that happens i think you have better odds of just slipping out the back door then having to get in a scuffle with the assailant (unless you want to be a hero). what else? someones talking shit might wanna punch you in the back of the head? don't talk shit in the first place, if you didnt and the aggressor is still mad, get up and leave, simple. don't stick around until you HAD TO use your weapon. i'm all for concealed carry blah blah blah, but there's a time and place for everything. yeah, you definetly need a gun when your hunting, in a known bad part of town with high crime rate, or hell, even just to go have some fun on the range; but if you don't have enough self confidence to walk into a family friendly restuarant for an hour without a gun, you need to either talk to a mental health proffesional or move your family to a remote area where there's no one for miles and you never have to interact with people

It really boils down to personal responsibility. I'm a responsible person and I don't talk shit or go looking for trouble, therefore I excercise mt legal rights to carry. I take on the legal consequences if shit goes down.
I mean, I've read things like "getting hammered" and "looking for trouble" etc but I've not made any indication of myself participating in those things. You are projecting because you somehow have a problem with the idea.
Bottom line is that the law is the law and you can obviously take it or leave it how you please. But I really don't appreciate the name calling on a personal level; especially since you have no idea who I am or what my demeanor is. I'm a very peaceful person.
You say you dont want to mix alcohol and firearms in a "crowded bar" when referring to Tacomac. Define a bar? Applebees, Cheddars, TGIFridays.... ect ect ect are all restaurants with bars in them. I go to these places all the time without drinking beer. You said you're ok with carrying if you're just eating, so why do you feel so strongly about someone carrying or not carrying inside of Tacomac which is a "applebees-esc" establishment?
I can drive my car to a bar even though drinking and driving is illegal. It's up to me to drink responsibly enough that i can operate my vehicle upon exiting. I view carrying the same way. If i abuse alcohol and drive my car i can kill someone. If i abuse alcohol while carrying my firearm i can kill someone. It's on the individual to handle his firearm responsibly. Something myself and others are plenty capable of doing even in the presence of alcohol. I guess that makes me a fucking idiot.

Remember, dude, you might not go into a bar looking for trouble, but that doesn't mean it won't find you. I won't join in the argument/debate, but I do agree with Jimmy. You (or someone else) may be calm and collective when sober, but when you (or someone else) gets a little judgement inhibitor in the system, common sense may go by the wayside. Whereas a bar fight may be just dudes throwing fists, but if someone has a gun and things aren't going right, it could get real ugly.
That's my thoughts on this topic. Not berating you or what you do, but as I said earlier in this post, I side with Jimmy on this.
