Default boosted y7 vs b series

My friend is tryin figure out Wut he should do. Boost his y7 or get a b series? I'm tryin to tell him to get a b series and boosting his y7 is a waste of time and money. While my other friend is tellin him to boost the y7 and it will out run my gsr. O and that it will las longer than a boosted gsr and b series r weak. Which way should he go?

personally id go boost, just cause im a boost person...on the other hand depending on the b series could be fun...but i cant figure out why you think it wont keep up with your gsr if it isnt built, youll be surprised how strong a boosted single with a good tune and good parts will move even stock ive seen a z6 on 12psi take a beating for 2 1/2 years completely stock but had a great tune...go boost

Doesn't matter the engine, I would build the bottom end if going boost... B or D series. The D series rods are VERY weak.....without forged parts you are just rolling the dice.

As far as one outrunning the other, I'd say a decent boosted D would outrun your bolt on GSR.

our tuners y7 made 265 hp and 270 tq with just headstuds, for 80,000+ miles. So don't sleep on a y7. Motor still running, we just decided to put a built motor in for some more power.

show this clip to your little friend that thinks a b series is weak. It's like everyone is saying here without a tune it run shitty. I own a d series hatch right now and i much rather have my b16 hatch again even though my d series hatch is quick for what it is

for a decent turbo set up a d series will cost about the same as a b series, it will be faster than a b-series swap, and it will also beat a bolt on gsr.

    Go boosted d
    Buying a b series motor
    Then mounts
    Shifters
    Axles
    Ecu
Then hope the motor is good

Reason i state a d series cause u already have it
But a new turbo kit or a used name brand kit get it tune
And pull on b series all day depending there mods
