Default Civic too bouncy and hard?

I drive a 95' civic dx and every hump in the road the car bounces like hell, to the point where i can hear the spare tire go up and down and i cant drive fast because when i hit a bump, i almost lost control of the car. Also, when i go over cracks or little holes on the road it doesnt like absorb nothing that even my cd skips. Help please with anything that I should do or put on the car or something thanks.

Shocks and struts would be my first guess. After so many miles, these kind of things need to be replaced after so long anyways. Go ahead and replace them.. and if the problem doesn't go away, then move to other possible problems. Could be cheap lowering methods, etc. Moer than likely struts and shocks. And go KYB.

    its not necessarily blown shocks.

if it has adjustable lowering springs then they could be lowered too far.

if you have aftermarket shocks already, they could be a stiff shock, or even adjustable.

    check your setup first..
