This is one of my racing buddies from WERA. His name is Brett but we call him Lefty. He was in an accident a couple of years ago where a driver ran the stop sign and hit him while he was riding his bike. His arm had to be amputated. A few months later he got on his Hawk and taught himself to ride in his driveway. He converted the the throttle, and brake lever to work on the left handlebar. He doesn't complain or try to make people pity him. He just continues his life and still races. He races an R6 now also. He also has a great sense of humor.
