his was he best movie i have ever seen. I wish u could grasp the amazement of this movie before they see it. I cant begin to explain because 1.Its 130 in the morning. 2.THeres way too much for the brain to comprehend. 3.Im tired.

The CG and 3-D effects are amazing. The damn Movie had me crying through the whole thing. It wil have ur emotions running back and forth and back and forth. Look if ur about to kill ur self, trying to jump start a failing marriage, if ur bored with life or other movies, have extra cash, no cash, need some beaver, or if u have an extra 3 hours just laying around in ur life, GET UP OFF UR LAZY INTERNET WHORING BUTT AND SEE AVATAR!!!!!!!

BTW: I got to see it early cause my g/f works at the movies

Dunno man, you havent really convinced me to spend $10 to see it. So it's an emotional rollercoaster, is this similar to the way Harold and Kumar had me waiting on the edge of my seat wondering if they were going to actually reach White Castle?

I kinda want to see it but I'm going to wait until someone I respect sees it first and persuades me to spend an afternoon watching it.

dude i know im not to reputable....bu my g/f works at the theater me and her watch every movie that comes through and this one was by far i have seen

Its emotional like (im tying not to ruin it) First u get the human side of the story and it makes it feel like its the right choice. Then U see the aliens story and u feel pity and it tears u up trying to figure out who to root for. I swear the base lie to this story is identical to Pocahontas.

dude the 3-d is so good man. Its so real. especially at the first there is so much 3-d happening ur eyes cant function right. Just think being on a spaceship with zero gravity and everything flying around. (oops) its really fulfilling! U might get a head ache at first but it is so worth it! the only cg prob of the whole movie is, you know like world of war craft or something when a horse is running down hill and it just is like goes from flat to at an angle down a hill and the legs dont exactly match their speed? well in one busy part of the movie it does that ONCE and thats the only prob in the movie. I mean it would be hard to catch cause it was so much going on. other than that it rocked!!

it was alright. i wouldnt say its the best movie of the year or nothing. it was pretty emotional but nothing that would make a grown man cry. the 3-d glasses gave me a headache and made me fall asleep for about 10 min. ( i missed the scene where he gets pandora pussy) but the end fight was awesome, but other than that it was just like watching a highly glorified cartoon.

the glasses suck, but the 3D is awesome, it's came a long ways. I couldn't belive how real the 3D was, there were things right in front of you that looked like you could reach out and touch. I can't stress enough how good this movie and the graphics are.....

So everyone keeps stressing how pretty of a movie it is but I really dont want to see it if the story's lacking. I need a movie with some depth and character development, ya know like Grandmas Boy or Soul Plane.

I dont care if its 3D, if the characters are 2D we'll end up with another Star Wars, episodes I-III.

Saw it last night, and it was OKAY, but I saw the movie a couple years ago with my daughter.... it was called Pocahontas though.

The political commentary got tired after a while:

    - The green/tree hugger stuff
    - All marines are bad
    - Energy resources are bad

I kinda passed out towards the end, so that sucks. There should be a "cliff notes" version of movies--three hours is just way too long.

Just came back from seeing it. I thought it was good.

Obviously the biggest entertaining aspect was the visual appeal. Hands down the best CGI I've ever seen. The attention to detail on the Pandora world is amazing, everything feels real and not just some computer animation.

The story is pretty much Pocahontas but like 700 years in the future.

Decent character development, and you definitely begin to root for certain people to come out on top, which I think is another important aspect of the movie. If you actually care about the characters and what happens to them, then the filmmaker did their job.

i saw it in 2d last night and it was a great film. visually stunning, good typical story line, amazing effects, but i highly suggest watching in it digital 3d as you can tell the film was built for 3d. i wasn't overly impressed w/ the sound but i'm wondering if that is in due to the part it was in 2d and the theater i was at.

i think most people who see it at Regal/Carmike will enjoy the experience and it will absolutely rule on Bluray
