    Default Jeep Lower Forty

I hope they make this a production model in about 3 years when i get out of college so i can afford it.

    Jeep Lower Forty Concept

The Jeep Lower Forty Concept has been bumming around for a while now, but that doesn't stop it from being any less impressive in the flesh, er, sheet metal. The name comes from the mammoth 40-inch tires with which this modified Jeep Wrangler is equipped — good for overcoming fallen trees, boulders and most livestock. Mopar Underground fitted this wild creation with hard-core off-roading equipment such as a Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear, a beefy roll cage and a huge 5.7-liter V8 engine. A 6-speed manual transmission puts power to those epic tires.

I would rock the shit out of it, of course I could probably put a 6.1L and 40s on a stock TJ for less than Jeep wants me to pay for that thing.

That is the new trend with off roading. Big tires and very little lift. Keeps center of gravity low and less likely to roll over. I just went bigger tires on my Cherokee and instead of more lift I just cut more fender.

Also, I would like to see how well that Dana 44 holds up with some 40" tires...

Dana 60's on a factory jeep would be nice, not sure how the 44 up front will do though. I like it. If they dropped a diesel in it with a atlas 2 transfer case it would be perfect.
