F*** COMCAST, what is another good ISP?

I pay $65 a month for cable internet. Are there any other companies that offer cable internet service at a more reasonable price? No Bellsouth DSL, as that would be my last option.

ATT UVerse has DSL.. not cable.. Also their 20mbps is expensive and the upload is still under 1mbps.

My 50mbps cable has a 15mbps upload rate.. it completely trumps the ATT Uverse doodie.

Yeh comcast pricing sucks, and they won't wheel and deal with you either! however, I've been pleased with the service i have received and no one else has come close, so I've stuck with them. Whatcha gonna do?

what i hate about comcast is the stupid ass charges, like $3 for modem rental. obviously im going to use your modem, just doesnt make sense.

hahaha. i paid once for my cable from comcast. and they fucked up my bill 3 times.. dude gave me free movie channels, and internet for a year!! and as soon as i moved out i cut it off.. so i only paid for basic cable and got everything.. $24 a month rocked!!

You can buy your own modem you know...... I picked a motorola up from Best Buy years ago... haven't paid that $ 3 ever since....

wrong it is fiber optic cable. We have both cable and dsl through the phone line

guess you can get fiber optic now. the uverse i had was not. and it was 20mbps down and UNDER 1mbps UP. so it was useless.

I've had comcast forever, and I only pay $20 a month for comcast high speed internet. I saw a commercial saying they were offering internet @ $20 a month for 6 months, so i called them and they changed it for me.

Internet + Cable = ~$50 a month

Why do people keep asking this stupid question?!?! There are only so many ISP in a geographical area, so start by checking with what internet options your telephone and cable co offer. There are tons of good ISP out there, but that doesn't mean they are available in your area.

After taxes and all the fees I pay ~56 a month for phone and internet. I passed a deal to bundle my HD cable into it also for ~95 a month before taxes and fees.

This is why I stick with Comcast. I tried out U-Verse for a couple of weeks and my speeds seemed like dialup compared to what I get with Comcast.
