Lots of people showed up for the nice weather Saturday


We also went to the Indy Mile Grand National Dirt Track race. I couldn't get many pics. The lighting condition were driving my camera crazy.


This was the biggest crowd in the history of the event.


And finally. The reason why I came.

125cc - The weather was amazing for the morning race.



And then the rain came.

The Safety car was haulin' all weekend. Here they were checking the track to see if it was safe for the MotoGP race.

Nicky getting stalked by the Doctor . Rossi made the pass a few laps later and rode to the win. They cut the race short when the wind really picked up.


There were wind gusts of up to 60mph

Then the sun came out and everyone left



I couldn't stay for the 250cc race. I had a plane to catch.

This guy almost lost his poncho on the way down the stairs. The wind was still blowing really hard.


I saw some Suby drivers on the way back to the house we rented.

I cant believe they allowed a turn to be designed like this.

Just look at what happens if a rider falls and goes straight back on the track. Stupid and unsafe.

Yeah it was unsafe. But that was kind of a slow corner. Maybe that's why they left the track like that.

My buddy drove up there for it. He said it was only a 4 second difference between wet and dry. That is fast for wet.

Yeah they were going super fast all weekend. During MotoGP qualifying Saturday the announcer said Nickey Hayden was hitting 192mph on the front straight away!
