Aug. 22nd there are 20 slots open for anyone who wants to drift at Lanier Speedway. You will be able to drive for about an hour or and hour and a half. It will tentatively start at 8. This is in conjunction with another event going on there. If you are interested or have questions e-mail me. [email protected] Please keep in mind, tis is not my event and I was just asked to help put it out there. There is more contact info on the flyer if you need it.

Qualified means a good, experienced drifter. It means for the most part that I have seen you drive and trust you to drive in an exhibition for an audience.

The track canceled the event, that's why I edited it to say Lanier and not J-Bird. The event was meant to be a drag race and some other racing. You can't drag race in the rain, unfortunately. The drifting DEMO was just a side show. You can drift in the rain....but drag racing isn't so much fun. It happens.

We ended up doing the demo last night instead and it was way fun. Lots of redneck things happening. They even flipped 2 cars

^Yeah i'm sure. They did it there a couple years ago as well (last I remember) and probably snagged some then too. I work at Road Atlanta across the street and was going to go last night but I had enough track stuff for the day lol.

Yea thanks to all that came out. Simon, it was totally redneck...but oh so fun! I think we may have had less fun if our group wasn't there, obviously, and we definitely brought the partay! They had bus racing, flipping cars in fire, flipping cars into a mobile home with fire, motorcycle stunt show and some other stuff. I can't believe they were able to get $25/head though from the spectators. Makes me wonder what we were doing wrong when we hosted events. All we ever got was $5. LOL. I guess we need to add some bus racing and then we can get top dollar.
