To summarize. I went shooting with a Ruger, and now can no longer hear in my left ear because I didn't wear hearing protection.
It's been 4 days, I wonder if the hearing will come back.![]()

thats never a good idea. im with rx8... if you dont have it back by wednesday or thursday go see the doc.
The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.
yea that tends to happen when i shoot my 44 magnum or my 357 magnum.
Thanks guys, I was hoping some others would have a similar experience and have some feedback.
It's such a weird feeling only hearing out of one side.
oh yea and like rx8 said it will last about a week maybe a couple days longer depending on how often you shoot(the more you do the more your ears adapt to it and recover quicker)
lol. no matter how many times u do it, it will affect ur ears. please explain how ones ears can adapt to loud sounds.scientificallyOriginally Posted by redrumracer

but yeah... when i go to the range i put the orange ear plugs in... then wear the ear muffs on top of that ... Lol it gets DEAD silent... I like music too much to be deaf.. I need to hear every frequency
lol i dont have any scientific evidence to back my theory but after shooting for a awhile it no longer affects me like it did at first. but again this is not based on any scientific process.Originally Posted by isa2o3
its okay, we'll put it in the same category as Hawking radiation and white holes, fits perfect with the no scientific evidence crew, ear adaptation relativity theoryOriginally Posted by redrumracer

Its just a bodykit
same with my dad at the NHRA drag races, he used to work on them, but i don't think they adapt, your ear drums get thicker (can't hear as good) and that is why
could be wrong though
havent heard of white hole yet. and the hawking radiation i believe was discovered to be something else per a show on discovery channel that i watched like 2 months ago. but ill look up white holes.Originally Posted by soul
