does it matter what type of oil filter i get?

I got have an integra and i bought a mobil oil filter model number m1-113 and i realize last time i used a m1-104 and thats what the partsamerica website shows up for oil filters when i put in my car information (the m1-104)

i was wondering does it matter? seems like the 113 would fit

and how often should i change my air filter?

sometimes different brands have different model numbers, if you got the same brand as you did last time it should probably be the same number, if its a different brand i usually just put the filter gaskets against each other to double check its the same and then put it on carefully to make sure the threading is the same

i would just go to the dealership, as far as nissan/honda goes there really aren't many the compete with OEM quality. just tr00f!

and Air filters i would go about 10,000 or so depending on OE or AEM or whathave you

About $7.00 at the dealership and it's made the proper size enabling the correct oil pressure. If you live near Baranco Acura they always have deals for honda-tech members.

i use either the mobil1 m1-104 or OEM Honda, cant go wrong with either IMO

Are you asking about your air filter or oil filter?

Yes brands do matter. Get a K&N air filter and clean it 2-3 times per year, the filter will last longer than your car. As for oil filters, I use PureOne filters and have never had a problem. OEM is always a good choice too.

i have been going honda all the way for the past year almost. its weird tho because grease monkey and even the acura dealership all run 10W30 in my car, but Honda runs 10W20, and thats what they sell me when I go buy oil. They say they recommend it for my year Civic. I dunno what much of the difference it makes, but heck I say they made the car & know more about the bastard than I do. *shrugs*

There's virtually little difference between 10-20 and 10-30, it's just slightly thinner at operating temperature (2nd number) which is better for colder climates and winter time. A thinner oil easier for the oil pump to push it through your engine and it pushes more of it too...
