    Default B18C5 (Type-R) HEAD - COMPLETE

I have up for sale a complete head from a b18C5 (type-r) from a 2001 type-r , this includes EVERYTHING but the valve cover, the valve cover can also be purchased for the right price .

The head is hand port and polished on the intake side , it made 176whp and 143tq from just the port and polish.

i will NOT part out , i am selling this as a whole , which means it includes
cams , valve springs , valves , retainers , everything...just slap it on your b-series block or whatever...OR you can buy my whole longblock, PM me for details.

    1200$

i can be reached at AIM = benefitx but its best if you call me 678-462-8928

A type-R head is port an polished by hand from the factory.

A type-R makes 170whp bone stock but there is NO WAY it made 143/TQ. NOT POSSIBLE with stock header on it.

The HIGHEST 1.8L TQ i have ever seen was DA_UNKNOWNs ITR and it made 132TQ (he had an RMF header, $3000 skunk2 cylinder head, Skunk2 PRO1 cams.)

YOu can ask whatever you want but the head is worth:
    $300-350 for cams
$400-500 for the assembled head minus cams
    $150 for the distributor
    $100 for the valve cover
    $100 for the intake manifold
    $75 for the TB

You are better off parting it out.

wow, thats alot. ive never seen over low 130s on a stock block OEM honda, but you had at least an aftermarkt header

on a cast header, thats nearly impossible IMO

these estimated figures you have given round about to 1400$.

and they stopped hand port and polishing them after 97 or 98 (forgot) because it was cheaper by machine. i dont know what Rob did but i am just posting from what i have been told.

jadakidd88 her is your answer he has a thread for the block. by the way you should probably let people know that this motor was run low on oil

quote=benifit(i have up for sale a b18c5 (type-r) shortblock, it includes all the internals

crank , rods , pistons , oil pan , baffle

the only thing is that it is knocking , it can be rebuilt , it was ran low on oil and has a knock...i am just going to put a JDM B18C in my car because all i have time for is a swap. i simply have no time for a rebuild since i go to college , and have work in between while still paying off the car.

B18c5 heads are ported and polished by honda already. 96+spec is hand polished, and 98+ was port/polsh by machine. So what work did you have done to it?

    That's impressive for HPC!

I think Honda/Acura cost is around $1,500-1700 but that's AT cost...that's how I got my new shortblock AND complete head unassembled for under $3k brand new

What a ripp-off! Hand port and polished? Did you even throw it on the bench flow to see the results because it can even hurt the velocity and cfm w/o that machine. Good luck if you can find a dummie to buy it for that price.
