Default The Ridiculously Poor Man's Swap.... 56K...ha

Here you go fellas, you guys asked for it and now I decided to put it for the Squad. If it's not EJ-EG then , naw if it runs then I guess it's cool... . I've lost all track of how long I've been working on and off on this swap, but not the price...**** when it put that big of a hole in your pocket you could never forget about it . My swap was built by a guy who's name I'm going to leave anonymous, but it was pisspoor, half-assed, and frustrating all in one. Now that I have more resources I can venture out and get it done the right way, but if I could sum up how long it's been I would clearly saw about 2 1/2 going on 3 years I've been working on this and trying to get the right parts. Some of the inspiration came from the OMNIMAN all-motor Si setup and then I've added a few of mine and subtracted a few of his.
My head was fine, but the gut who built it neglected to tell me that he didn't replace my cam seals and my **** was sqeating out oil like it just had multiple orgasms or something , so I replaced both of those with another friend and as luck would have it, a ****'n Lexus SC400 pulls by me on 75N, all I had to do was not pay him any attention, cause my car was and still isn't tuned. So he punched it and like an ass I dropped gears and passed his ass with his fine-ass woman on the side... me thinking "**** your LEXUS" , but as soon as I got to the 285W loop my car just cut off.......and the reason....... MY ****IN TIMING BELT snapped. So we all know what that means, I just wanted to know which one and how many hit. So part 2 of the swap begins.

My Swap Consists with a B16A2 head and block.

HEAD: Ferrea Valve Steams, Ferrea Valve Seals, and Ferrea 6000 Valves (Intake/Exhaust)
JG Valve Springs, JG Titanium Retainers, and JG Adjustable Cam Gears
Buddy Club Pro Spec3 cams for the B16
The Intake and Exhaust sides of the head just recently received a PORT/POLISH from my neighbor...Thanks Tim, even though I know that you don't get on here much at all any more.

BLOCK: First off it's bored .25 over
JDM (lol... I had to throw that in there) CTR pistons also .25 over stock
I forgot the name of the Piston Rings, but there also .25 duhhh...
    Stock Rods
    Stock Crank

TRANSMISSION: S4 tranny, with a Stage 3 Competition Clutch, but the tranny is ****'d. It grinds in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. So I need another tranny, so if there's anyone that's out there and see's this hit me up, it would be nice to have GSR w/ LSD

Here's what you've been waiting for PICS, PICS, PICS ya sneaky bastards...

    it was boosted...not anymore

But it's going in the EJ1 now, and for anyone who tries to steal it, I hope you have Life Insurance

I hope no one tries to steal it, but then again, you drive a honda and people are more ruthless in getting what they want. All I can say is be careful and good luck

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

Naw, no boost for me... I don't like lag, and it also seem apparent that I don't like torque as well , but the swap was missing a few of a lot of parts for only 600, so really didn't think too much about it, but that's why I had the headaches.

I drove it when it was in the 98, it pulled a lil, but that's un-tuned

I look forward to see what it does in the EJ1

Yea, didn't really see any reason to hide it anymore, it's not going to be fast at all and I might wanna sell the entire thing to someone . Hopefully this will inspire more people to do something all-motor, I think that this whole project was no more than 3 grand, that's still not as much as the price would be for someone who wants to boost their car and there's no lag just raw 4 bang'n power.

more torque and the motor, itself, is lighter

response to bolt-ons is very good.

K series cost to much if you do that, I'm sorry to say, but I'd just have to go and buy a V8 , just do a few lil changes that doesn't cost nearly as much as it do to work on a four banger.

I just dropped my head off at the machine shop for it to be fully assembled, cause I don't have the tools to put the springs back on and I should hopefully have it back by if not before Wednesday.

Nice man, i got a b16 for my hatch. I hope to do a similar motor build down the road w/ the exception of a few things. If you ever dyno it let me know what you put down. Interested in how much power one could get by building a b16.
