    A-Ran and I have this thing about always trying to "one up" each other and keeping all kinds of little secret projects up our sleeves...


    the other day i call him up and ask what he's doing... "oh nothing... just polishing a little on something, no biggie..."

    yeah right...

    well

    this weekend he brings the CRX out with THIS:

    I was about to say, the welds are good to go, the marks you see in the pictures are from where he was cleaning them up.

    They seem like a good idea, the hatch opening is pretty big and could stand to be reinforced. I probably wouldn't install one though, unless my car was straight race. You lose the ability to have the cargo cover in place, and the rear view is gonna suck a little bit more.

    "Jay Dee Em cowl hood" is gay, I put sockets in to raise the hood because it hits my valve cover (you boys with D15s & B16s wouldn't understand ). I ONLY got it painted after getting into a front-end collision.

    Yeah man, I feel ya. With a damn short-well socket it still hits (all the cage under the hood around the valve cover has been cut)!

    What setup are you running & post up some pix of your car so I can know who to call-out this Sat at Showdown lol ..

    I also cut the cage around the cover. lol... it still taps it a little bit on the driver side front corner of the cover though... *sigh*

    My setup is a high comp. B20 vtec

    my pics are in the squad pic thread.

    I dunno if I'll be running or not, but I'll see you there.

    Ohhh yeah, I forgot .. yeah definitely a nice setup. Diggin' the S2 cluster & the sick offset wheels.

    Why build a high compression motor and not race it? Cause I know you didn't build it to daily it to work ..

    And i dont belive he built the eingine, he bought it in the car...lol

    The biggest reason is an oil leak I'm having problems getting to quit. I'm also having an intermittent issue with my VSS conversion that causes vtec to pop in and out.

    If i can manage to get these things done by saturday, I'll most likely put it down-track.

    your vtec dont work you cant run
