I know some Jettas that can make your Evo look like a Geo. There's nothing girly about a VR6 or even a 1.8T it's the 2.Slows you gotta look out for. Jettas being chick cars is just a terrible stereotype that has been thrown at us. I love my Jetta; and I'm completely oblivious to the CEL coming on monthly or the weird noises it occasionally makes (and the fact that no matter how many times i spray it, it still smells like Crayola Crayons). VW owners are stubborn about their rides.

A good shirt idea for male Jetta owners: "Yes that's my Jetta and NO I don't have a vagina."

EDIT: Oh and I can't forget the occasional blown transmission!

That's like a real dumb idea. You don't even see any real gains from hollowing out a stock cat. Ok, maybe 1 or 2. No more than 5 hp max depending on the size of the exhaust bolted to that said cat. Your best bet is to build a custom exhaust with an unboltable straight pipe/cat so you can still pass emissions instead of getting a MIL code of a P0420 or P0430 (catalyst efficiency). Unless you actually like paying for that. That's a waste of your money and time to tear up a perfectly good working part only to be maybe 1/32nds of a second faster to 30 mph

Jettas are fun to drive, I get a lot of shit for driving a Jetta. You say Jettas try and race you with your SI; well I get cars who try and race me in my Jetta. A week ago I was driving down 75 and some silver Galante is riding my ass with their high-beams on, so I had to show him my turbo (I was doing around 125 and the asshole was still trying to catch me). Then just today I was heading down Cobb Parkway to work and a tC was riding my ass and would weave in and out of traffic to catch back up to me (who looks for a race or a fun time at 10:00 AM on COBB PARKWAY!?). Then on my way back home I swear a Prelude was messing with me (riding my ass, switching lanes, getting in front of me). My car is stock as hell except for a CAI, I just got it for graduation, it's not like my car says "race me."

From what I've heard all Jetta's smell like a one-hundred pack of crayons. My mom was talking to me in my car this morning and she told me it smelled of crayons and I told her all of them do (but she doesn't believe me, she's going to ask her business partner if her old MKIV smelled). I've sprayed so much air freshener in there and people still smell it (I don't, I'm used to it ). But yeah, that's how you know you're a true Jetta owner, when you're used to the smell of hot crayons in the morning.
