    ok i got a b20b with a p8r head and ebay intake. plans gsr tranny aftermarket clutch flywheel and headers wanting to stay all motor just wondering what be some nice headers an any other upgrades yall got in mind oh yea nt ot tryin to blow up or spend a whole lot

    yea ive been hearing about those headers alot where would i find them and heard alot about b20 vtec just always hearing they are unreliable

    they are reliable depends on who puts it together and how i had no problems i just want more torque so i took it apart and i am rebuilding it make sure the pistons are the phk i think thats right then instead of 9.1:1 youll have 10.1:1 the b20bs are the same if it is a jdm block just depends on what year it was made if its 98+ its basically a b20z gsr head would be better u get .2 - .3 more compression and they are less prone for detonation and as long as you get the GE lsvtec kit there is less chances for oil leaks and more reliable

    Keep the setup u have. Get the Kidd headers, and all the bolt-ons. Also grab some Crower 403s when you get the loot. Main thing you'll need is short-geared tranny and that will be a decently quick setup after tuning.

    Add a 2.5in exhaust and a velocity stack to your list of parts. Also, if you don't already have the gsr tranny, drop it and get a b16 or type r transmission.

    well i raced a b20 integra and beat him..... when my car was n/a...and i thought my car was slow.

    n/a setup was skunk2 intake mani,
    9.5:1 b18
    je pistons (gsr)
    eagle rods (gsr)
    gsr crank
    cold air intake
    full 2.5 exhaust with ls factory cat.

    i pulled away and he stayed in my rear view.......


    i think alot of what everyone has told you is great advice.....but without vtec or boost.... its not gonna be very exciting


    if you pieced together a turbo kit 8 lbs will get you way more than n/a b20 will dollor for dollor..... unless you spray.

    ive had my b20v for about 3 months no problems with the motor so far. DD.

    Well thank you for totally ignoring what the OP asked.

    Not every1 gives a shit about VTEC.

    Not every1 gives a shit about nitrous.

    Not every1 gives a shit about the most HP.

    I am a proponent of nitrous and would GLADLY tell him to spray his setup IF that was the line of questioning that he asked. He didn't ask that. He asked how he can add some pep to his CURRENT setup. He has a p8r which no1 has "by accident" which should tell you that he is comfortable and okay w/ have a non-vtec setup. He also is asking about Mike's header, so OBV he is not concerned w/ boosting it. Furthermore it sounds like the car you raced was de-stroked anyway (gsr crank)... and on an LS tranny it's no suprise that non-vtec builds lose... which is why I mentioned the short gears.

    no the destroked b18is my motor..... i raced a b20....and beat it with a destroked b18.... with ls tranny.....soooo..

    im totally cool with whatever someone decides to do to their car,, and i wasnt attackin your responce either... just wanted to clear that up

    but b20's and b18's have gobs of torque....and their potential is far ahead of n/a.... and reliable at that

    Well there are lots that can go wrong/right in a street run. Weight, driver, motor health, u name it. I wasn't attacking you - I just get tired of those answers to threads. A guy says "I wanna add some pep to my d16" and dorks respond w/ FUCK THAT MAN, get a B18C and boost it. LOL. WTF!?? It's like people think there is only 1 way to have a peppy ride... that's all.

    bro i will tell you i LOVE my vteckidd headers. they made a massive difference over my
    previous dc set. and if your looking for reliablity, if your not dropping the money to go forged,
    invest in some ARP rod fasteners. so far my ls/vtec is running like a dream and i dog the hell
    out of it daily. and so far its around the 5-7.5k mile mark. if you want some power build an
    OE safety beater trust me vteckidd headers, a good close geared tranny, good clutch
    set-up, and most of all a tune! ive had o many friends try to run untuned and pop at the
    500-5k mile mark. one made it down the street and boom! one more bit of advice....take your
    time and do it RIGHT the first time!

    i would cry if an ls pulled my b20
    1) i have a p8r b20 number one thing to do b4 anything....((((((TYPRE-R OIL PUMP))))))
    2) use b20 injectors
    3) port match the intake
    4) do not use a b16 trans for dd get a GSR, with a gsr in 5th im doing 80 @ 4250rpm
    5) header
    that right there will be around 150-160 hp
