Question about performance

My bike seems to have lost power. Its got 6900 miles on it. Is there any kind of tune up Ive been missing? its got fresh oil in it (semi syn.) so what am I missing? Someone help me out

Not enough info to determine the problem.
Was anything changed recently? All stock, or what mods? Where do you seem to be losing power? Any pops or backfires? etc...

Any pops or backfires Heck yeah. I was told recently that it popped and stay lit for awhile while riding (The exhaust). When am gearing up and down. Ive lost power over all the whole gearing seems to be off it doesnt pick up as quickly as it used to. Only thing I have changed is the Scorpion exhaust there that you see in my sig.

you didn't disconnect the clutch switch did you(so you dont have to pull in the clutch to start?)

if you did it cuases the bike to go into safe mode

Sounds like you are dumping extra fuel into the exhaust (not burning it all). Not sure if safe mode would do that on that bike, but you will need to check to make certain that your ignition system is properly working (spark plugs and coils). You might want to take it into a shop to be checked.

You would have to ask the shop that you take it too. Both Marietta Motorsports and MSP Cycle are very good. What side of town are you on?
