The full story of my Supra "from start to now"

Tank Mainstream's a good shop from what ive heard BUT Mike i really losted some fate in yall cause of what happened with Geo's car(300zx). But thats another story

SO, Geos 300zx had a blown motor. we installed the motor HE BROUGHT TO US. he was running an aftermarket ECU from Z1. We told him not to boost on it unless it was tuned.

1-2 months later the car blows a turbo ON THE MOTOR HE SUPPLIED. I told him it sucks because what he just paid for (RR ENGINE) would prob have to be paid again because you have to pull the motor to replace the turbos. I told him it would prob be between $1500-2000 to get the turbo an replace it.

He declined , picked up his car an took it to Forged.

i fail to see where we did anything wrong.

First off i respect you and what you do. Not trying to spread rumors or get into a online fight

But why is it that Forged found ALOT of problems with the ZX not only the ones you listed.
You have nice facts.... but you said that one of the turbos blew.... are yall sure cause forged said that it was fine. the issue was something else.

But im really not gonna get into details... if you want i can let Geo explain it all to you.. he does have an account on IA.

As for Batlground i really don't have nothing against them ive just heard not only from Sm members but from others rumors not saying they're right but enought to not feel comfortable going there. I alread explained it to tracy, A good friend(Thomas) had a good experince at SOG from Matt(Big Baller).... Matt helped him out with his injectors.. so thats cool

But seriously Mike.... Geo has way more facts than the ones you listed... you're also right though.. but hes my uncle and it sucked that he had the experience he did at MS...

Conclusion.... id rather get my car worked on at SOG/Topspeed

I have an EXTREMELY WELL KNOWN reputation for taking care of our customers. The back turbo was blown , them otor was pouring smoke out at idle, we didnt tear the car down, we cranked it up, an it smoked like a chimney. Compression test on the motor was good. So it left the Used JDM turbos.

Of COURSE they found other things wrong, come on man, how long you been around the block? if you take your car from one shop to the next, OF COURSE they find shit to blame on the other shop, thats common knowledge.

Thats why when people ask my opinion on other shops i keep my mouth shut, cause my job is to do the job at hand to hte best of our ability, not bash other shops.

If there were so much other things that were wrong, why did it run for a solid 1-2months, an i NEVER got a phone call from Geo, or was told anything by anyone else. have him PM me, id love to hear what another shop found wrong.

There's always more to the story Most of the time is has to do with shops trying to get business...so they tell the customer things to make other shops look bad. In the end it's all about trusting your shop. And being able to do that comes down to research. This includes what you have heard and specific stats numbers don't lie. Value = good price + good quality work. Most people don't value shop, they price shop. That's where you get yourself into trouble. You always get what you pay for

There is a lot of competitionin this town as far as shops go. Customers know that. They use anyting they can to get a good price. If that means bad outhing one to another..that's whatthey do. Alo everyone has big pride issues. If you hurt someone's feelings, that's ammo for them to post crap about you (good work or not). Customers know how much the internet has an impact on this industry.......


I could go on for years about it..but I don't feel like it.
