I don't get along too well with...how should I say it...idiots :D That's where most people's bad experience comes in here. Everyone looooooooooooves Dan. I just suck and am a bitch. But that's ok. I don't work on cars :) so you don't have to like me.

Thats like saying that we are the STI kings because Big Baller hangs out over here. we made IC piping for it, thats it, we didnt tune it, we didnt build it, Batlground and SOG did ALOT of work on the car.

Clark does his own work to my knowledge, and hes a nice guy. he doesnt seem to get caught up in all this. just cause hes friends with Topspeed and does his own work there doesnt make them the supra kings.

We do work on cars all the time that we may have never touched. we just got done build an SRT4, STI fron the ground up (motor, cams, etc) 2 cars that we have NEVER TOUCHED BEFORE.

but our mechanical ability an knowledge allows us too. shit i saw a porsche one time at batlground, but they arent a PORSCHE SHOP.

doesnt mean you cant work on them, its all just nuts an bolts

IMO if you can build an 8 second supra, if you can do a 2JZ 240, then you know what your doing regardless of the make an model

EFI cars are EFI cars. They have different limitations on whatthe block can handle before it needs to be built...but you should know those things if you have a shop. If not, it's pretty easy to find.

But why is it that Forged found ALOT of problems with the ZX not only the ones you listed.
You have nice facts.... but you said that one of the turbos blew.... are yall sure cause forged said that it was fine. the issue was something else.

But im really not gonna get into details... if you want i can let Geo explain it all to you.. he does have an account on IA.

As for Batlground i really don't have nothing against them ive just heard not only from Sm members but from others rumors not saying they're right but enought to not feel comfortable going there. I alread explained it to tracy, A good friend(Thomas) had a good experince at SOG from Matt(Big Baller).... Matt helped him out with his injectors.. so thats cool

But seriously Mike.... Geo has way more facts than the ones you listed... you're also right though.. but hes my uncle and it sucked that he had the experience he did at MS...

Conclusion.... id rather get my car worked on at SOG/Topspeed

I have an EXTREMELY WELL KNOWN reputation for taking care of our customers. The back turbo was blown , them otor was pouring smoke out at idle, we didnt tear the car down, we cranked it up, an it smoked like a chimney. Compression test on the motor was good. So it left the Used JDM turbos.

Of COURSE they found other things wrong, come on man, how long you been around the block? if you take your car from one shop to the next, OF COURSE they find shit to blame on the other shop, thats common knowledge.

Thats why when people ask my opinion on other shops i keep my mouth shut, cause my job is to do the job at hand to hte best of our ability, not bash other shops.

If there were so much other things that were wrong, why did it run for a solid 1-2months, an i NEVER got a phone call from Geo, or was told anything by anyone else. have him PM me, id love to hear what another shop found wrong.

There's always more to the story :) Most of the time is has to do with shops trying to get business...so they tell the customer things to make other shops look bad. In the end it's all about trusting your shop. And being able to do that comes down to research. This includes what you have heard and specific stats :) numbers don't lie. Value = good price + good quality work. Most people don't value shop, they price shop. That's where you get yourself into trouble. You always get what you pay for ;)

There is a lot of competitionin this town as far as shops go. Customers know that. They use anyting they can to get a good price. If that means bad outhing one to another..that's whatthey do. Alo everyone has big pride issues. If you hurt someone's feelings, that's ammo for them to post crap about you (good work or not). Customers know how much the internet has an impact on this industry.......


I could go on for years about it..but I don't feel like it.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Any shop worth a damn should be able to take any car in and work on it, especially in todays world where info is so easily found.

TOPSPEED FTL. They should have had thier ducks in a row before attempting anything, and they should also honor thier work.

wow sued for what damn that sounds horrible, no one can say your slandered anything or did any wrong doing if you state clear facts with evidence atleast i would hope they couldnt but again this is from me looking from the outside in sounds awful man im honestly sorry to hear that. When i wrote this i knew my limits and made sure to go out of my way not to slander or disrespect any person and shop name i then stated facts and provided proof this is how it should be done and i really think there should be a shop review section to provide people with good and bad input "constructive" about shops

Read GA law...if you cause a business to loose money due to your statements even if personal you can and will be sued and loose. I have a Bachelor's degree in CJ/worked in a prison for 2 years I know how it works and you can be sued for what you wrote in this thread...I DO NOT want that to happen and Im sure TS would not go down to that low of a level but queen fuck did when Dan (who is a genuinly a good guy) agreed to the $400..then I get papers they are going to sue me WTF..thats something only a bitch would do.

Damn that does suck and if theres such a low that sucks also but if that is the case half of IA would be sued based on comments alone i am not 100% sure but im quite sure a company cant sue someone for presenting actual facts, slander yes but facts no either way i have more then enough proof to back my story up if it came to that so no biggy on my end, but im sure they wouldnt stoop that low considering how they left me hanging during this transaction. but still sorry to hear about that man.

First Dan at BG is the man, period, no one tunes as well as he does. Just because a shop has built a lot of one car still doesnt mean they are good at it.

Nothing good ever comes out of working on 300zx's or 3000gt's I know a lot of shops refuse to work on them.

On the business aspect, everyone has their experiences and their opinions. Some people say bad things about Mainstream, some people say good things (Although I only dyno'd there my experience was WAY better than a lot of shops that specialize in 350Z's and G35's) people say the same about Batlground, TopSpeed.. whatever.

Ultimately owners need to get educated on the car they are modifying before changing anything. Read about others experiences, sit down with the shop you are considering.. and dont be afraid to come online and flat out ask for real opinions, theres a forum for every type of car out there.

Good luck with the new engine and I'm sure the car will be badass when it is finished. :goodjob:
