sorry to break it to ya but thats an 06. Its a 50th aniversary and only came out in 06 and the 07's come in red, grey and blue. And are you sure its lowered 3 inches? Looks stock height to me??? But anyways congrats to your friend for a hot ass bike

yes, the new R6, and R1's are so hot! That is THE BEST looking bike on the market. The price I cannot deal with but its beautiful. Please tell me he actually sides the bike rather than to just down gear and go like most.
The integration/molding of the air box into the tank and shorter exhausts are my favorite recent innovations with sport bikes.
That being said, I dont' care much for the triple-piece, layered fairing on the latest R6 bikes. I think that the '06 GSXR edges it out in looks. The '07 ZX6R might be my favorite for the upcoming year's 600cc bikes.
And Yes... R1's have magma-hot looks. The maroon colored R1's are the one bike I think actually look good with carbon fiber accessories.

ok folk, upon further review, it is an 06, i thought it was an 07. he said it was NEW so i assumed it was an 07, but it was one of the last 06's they had there. and he said he lowered it 3 inches, but i dunno, he left the bike there for them to lower at after he bought it. im sure he plans to RIDE it, not just straightline, but he had to lower it because hes short, so yea
Not just straightline? Tell him to raise it back up then. I have a friend whos 5' 4" and he rides a 05 CBR600RR.

'06 had the yellow paint scheme, well it was the "Anniversary Edition" paint scheme, he probably bought it in '07
According to Taketomi, true VIP style tuning is limited to only 10 Nissan and Toyota models: Nissan President, Cima, Gloria, Cedric and Fuga; Toyota Celsior, Century, Aristo, Crown and Majesta.
