That truck alone was the reason I bought my first MiniTruckin' mag. I'm going to have to drive by there tonight or tomorrow. Hope it's still there.

the guy who painted that car died right after he painted it or something like that. A friend of halfbaked and chnco's they went to high school with owned that truck for a while and ended up selling it. probably got traded around after that.

yeah that was my old truck, i sold it to the sketchy guy at j brothers a little over a year ago. i am very sad to see how he has takin care of it. i purchased the truck from the owner of southern off-road while i was working there and he had it when he use to own rev-limit. when i had the truck it was in near perfect condition and was garaged and waxed weekly. i took it to a few shows including nopi in 04 and 05. 04 i won best in class in the mini class divison and in 05 i won best in paint. took it to a few shows in mississippi and swept the mini truck class. i loved that truck and was sad to see it go but had to sell it to get the mustang.

Yep, I remember that truck from the mags. Didn't know it was so close to me, maybe I'll stop by and check it out one day. It looks almost like the best bet for whoever buys it next would be to strip it and re-shoot it rather than try to fix it. Even then, that's a lot of work in itself since the paint job is so thorough.

Edit - It's always hard to see a quality show truck go to the shitter like this. I hope the orig builders never see it in this condition.

that truck was built over 10 years ago... its time for the bodywork to start falling apart..
it was one of the first trucks on full air suspension, tubed frontend, fully glassed/carbon interior.. its one of a kind,.. if someone stripped it, they would RUIN it... if someone bought it, they should repair it, touch up teh paint, and put it in a collection.... ill give the owner 500 bucks for it, so i cna repair it!

I'd love top have it, fix the paint, puke on the outdated wheels, and put on fresh ones, then update alot of the 1990 stuff. Its a great piece that was done well, but its old. The work it needs may necessitate alot of paint work (some cracks you may chase a long way) so its not worth very much. I know the dude at Southern Off Road, and he had it as a collection piece, and it needed attn then. Last Look is a legend in the mini truck scene.

I guess my statement could have been misread, I meant strip the bodywork down and repair/repaint it, not the suspension/chassis. As for the paint job, with all those custom colors it would be very difficult to match the areas you have to repair.

that link says the rims are 1 off boyds from boyd coddington's personal ferrari

my dad knows the owner of j-brothers, my dad owns a lot too and sees him alot at the sales and i went to go pick something up over there and thats how i knew the truck was even there

they had it in the back of the office under a shed with a bunch of shit sitting all over it, looked like it had been sitting a while

i asked the owner about it and he said his brother bought it, went away, and now the truck just sits at the lot.

he said "we sold it twice but each time something happened with the suspension and it dropped on the ground and dragged so we towed it back here both times"

i know it needed carb work, the owner just treats it like some crazy truck, he really doesnt know the history about it or anything

hopefully someone will buy it and take care of it, he wouldnt cut me a better price than 7 grand and it wasnt even running. if you look at it up close there are cracks all over the body work.
