true... to a point. but when you're in over your head mistakes happen much more quickly and freqently. passing a semi on the outside of an off camber turn was a bad decision and it cost him.

i'm not really commenting on the accident at hand anyway, more to the people encouraging using the mountains as a place to find your limits. they are not the place to do it, plain and simple. yes accidents can happen anytime whether you're driving miss daisy or setting a new land speed record, but take a guess at who's more likely to eat it (and in a grand fashion) .

you might wanna read again. no one said he was passing a semi on the outside. besides, that would put the semi in the wrong lane LOL
