    Default My Cali trip pictures 2006

    I am on a 14 day vacation in Cali/Vegas. I am staying at Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, San Diego, Vegas, and L.A. So far, I have only seen Laguna, Newport, and Huntington Beach. I head off to San Diego today. Here are some pics so far. Cali is an awesome state.

    I just got back in from SF on Tuesday. Didn't take many pics though - was there for a wedding. SF is a cool place for photos, but always is too cold for me - none of the girls wear bikinis.... :-(. LA is much better, and Anaheim has lots to do also. I aim to make it to San Diego next.

    Nice pics of Table Rock and HB pier, makes me miss home

    By any chance did you go to Crescent Bay, its about a mile or so North of main beach in Laguna? Thats my local (meaning usual, not closest) beach, and theres a natural arch to the south side of the bay that catches the sunset perfect.

    I'm not sure where Crescent Bay was. I was on vacation and my bro lives at Laguna Niguel. Sounds like a cool place though. Those pics I took were down from the Montage Hotel. I wanna go back already.

    your shots always seem like they have more color than everyone elses? is there any certain setting or anything you are doing? other that just really knowing about photography?

    A little of both. I do a few tweaks in PS CS2(basic levels adjustment) and all of the pics above near the water were taken with a polarizer on my camera, so that has a tendency to make the picture have more contrast to the entire scene and (deeper bluer skies).

    so the adjustments that you make, does it take a good deal of CS2 knowledge to perform them? or could someone get the basics down pretty easily?


    edit: for some reason my trial of photoshop cs2 wont work, but image ready will. is it supposed to be set so that i can't save my pictures in jpeg through image ready? anyway, those tips really helped.
