Words out of my mouth! The work I do and the pics I take are mostly inside of houses....So I really cant use the 70-200, I have a 18-70mm now, non VR but it does good on the inside. I think if I get the 18-200, that will be the lens that pretty much just stays on the camera. I will prolly end up selling my 70-200mm I have right now, and maybe even sell the 18-70mm

Dont get me wrong the 18-200 is a bad ass lens, but if you are doing a lot of inside shooting, youll probably notice the bokeh isnt as great on that lens. Some reviews Ive read, rate a Tokina 12-24 to be sharper than the 18-200 in some aspects. For 699.00 you cant beat it, but you wont be paying that unless you buy it on ebay for more. There is at least a 5 month back order for that lens. If you've never used a prime lens, go to Wolf and try one out, youll be suprised at how fast they are, even the Nikon 24mm f1.4 .

But for overall versatility the 18-200 wins all around.

    Oh well, Im rambling...
