Caught one of my kittens yawning! Not too sharp, but I thought it was funny!

I think it actually looks nice a little softer... kind of that dreamy portrait effect. All you have to do now is the cheesy clouds for a border lol. But then again, i know nothing... Cute kitten! here's one of mine.
only editing is on the eyes.

^^^ Dudes killin it with that macro lens. that is all. DOF coulda been a little deeper, it woulda been nice if the droplets were all sharp. but its ok :goodjob:
Thanks! I shot it at f22 and I have tried at f32, but I noticed quite a bit of contrast and sharpness loss (diffraction maybe?). Since the magnification is high, making the dof so thin, I could not get the whole droplet in focus. I was aiming for the refraction. There is way to do that by taking multiple pics of different sections of the subject, and using software to focus stack them into one picture with huge dof.
thought i'd try out the DVD lens trick on my camera phone... BB-Storm + scratched (I scratched it when gouging it out of the machine) dvd lens from an old broken dvd player

thanks man... my setup: blackberry storm, dvd lens, scotch tape, christmas cactus, strong natural light on subject and background in shadow. the small camera sensor gives the ability to have a greater DOF with macro pictures. I think the macro comes out better than the normal pictures on this phone lol
