    Default Ammunition Blast

My dad sent me an email the other day showing me some of the other jobs that he did during his serving in Iraq. Below are some of the pics that he took as well. Sorry they are so big.

This is one of the things I did in IRAQ, the USAE, unit would blow up the captured enemy ammo as you know, well we would have to secure the area up to 5 kilometers away from the blasts, this is some of the pictures of the average blast of enenmy ammo probably 150,tons on ammo. and the last picture with the fire is artillery powder bags that are used to ignite the enemy ammo when its fired from an artillery piece, this would burn for 2 days.

In the second pic you see all the scrapnel flying in the air.

Well you shouldn't be in the middle of one during a convoy. The area where the ammunition is being destroyed should of been secured. So that isn't smart.

not exactly in the middle of an ammunition dump but rather a IED bomb, but it looks the same when it explodes
