    Nice, they finished that battleship.

    I went when I was 12 (long ass time ago) and they had just uncovered it.

    My family on my Moms side is from Port Gibson, about an hr south of Vicksburg.

    they are still working on that battleship....it's just a frame right now most of the outershell is off right now...

    Vicksburg is the poopy...One nite we stayed at the Holiday Inn Selec downtown..nice hotel, but next door to a nutthouse so it was crazy seein ppl hangin off their window ledge..lol.

    vicksburg sucked other than the historic stuff...the outlet malls sucked and the old/down town was pretty trashy....

    also around mobile there is about 30 miles of bridge/interstate running across the swamps but then every few miles the bridge arches up where rivers run underneath so that boats can run underneath.....very cool stuff between here and there

    I love bridges. The building, design, & structural aspects of them has always fascinated me. I plan on going to the worlds tallest & longest bridge in France one day...

    I will keep these bridges in mind next time I go to Mississipi....

    You can take the Toll road into New Orleans (Lake Ponchatrain) and it's bridge is 26 miles long. Nothing but water as far as you can see.
