Question Good spots Downtown to do a NIGHT car shoot??

Anyone know of spots in the downtown area where there is good lighting / background of buildings? Looking to do a night shoot of my hatch in the near future......

I saw a pic of the "area". Noticed IKEA in the background. I was over there about 2 weeks ago and was thinking that was a great area to do a shoot. I was going to snap a couple, but it was raining....

cabbagetown is just a general area, but there are a lot of cool places with graffitti and such. Just drive around a little.

-Top of varsity garage parking thing to get a great view of downtown ATL buildings and car in at once.

-Six Flags park if you could get there with no cars when the lights were all on.

-There's a few high quality building up along Peachtree street downtown that are closed down for weekend nights that have a great front opening.

-Contruction sites look pretty hot if you can find a non cluttered one with various objects you could climb up on to take ariel type shots.

-If you're bold enough, on a stretch of highway that's getting work down to it (where they close off 2-3 lanes) park your car over there and get a shot with slow shutter speed and the cars passing by you. (Don't recommend this if you aren't quick and if police frequently patrol) but would be a sick shot I think.

-Road Atlanta, just park your car on close to that bridge so you can see some stretch of the track (sunset would be best here)

-Chateau Elan Winery. Right in front of it and if you follow the little trail going around it it takes you right to the side of it and you can snap photos without interruption and have a huge house as the backdrop.

-Coca Cola World, if you can find a good spot on the wee hours of Sunday night/morning when no one is down there, you can get a good shot in front of that area with all the neons around.

-Centennial Olympic park, I go down there every now and then and they have this area opened up where you can drive in/through the park right near the Olympic ring water fountain. Yea, that'd be dope (especially while the water shots up)

-Going past centennial park and up to phillips arena there's a huge parking garage on the left and when you get to the very bottom its a really murky setting with trains passing through and steam coming out of different places and some graffitti. Dope

-I don't know what day lenox mall would be closed, but right in their front doors off of lenox rd and peachtree would be a good shot. Where all the rich people do valet.

-North GA mountain hills have some good spots. Don't know the exact exit/road but I've seen some vids from a friend cruising with his bike crew up there.

-Find a city that has a old downtown area with good lighting such as Newnan,
    Tyrone, Fairburn.

Well those are just a couple of the places I've scoped out until I can get my camera and my car back down here from seattle. Once they show up I'll be snapping away. I have to say GA sucks for pic spots compared to seattle. Just a reason to get more creative though ya know.

When that stuff does get down here I'll be glad to head out with a few people to do photoshoots or find photoshoot spots. I do it as a hobby and I'm about to start interning at Reggie Anderson's studio. Well go shoot some and post the pics up!

Also, does anyone know of any good spots up at Lake Allatona or out by Arbor Place mall? They look to have something good out that way, just haven't been able to scope them out yet. thnx

...just about anywhere you don't really want to be at after dark

Drive around and look for spots, i've parked my car in the middle of W. Peachtree before and got all the reflections on the glass front buildings in the background...you just have to do it around 3am or so when there is no traffic.

I've found the top of a few parking decks around GSU that worked out pretty well....i should make a map with hot links for examples...heyyy, a knew idea for a website. I think i'm gonna make a new thread!

No, that is fine (& much appreciated!!!!!) what you listed. When I get sometime I need to venture out and find some of those places.

I like the idea of meeting up to do a shoot
