Very nice pictures, dude. They really stand out with how crisp they are. Great job!

I do have to address this, though. This isn't a good attitude to have when receiving critique. I know for a fact that I can't take pictures on this level, but I think I have an eye to catch a nicely done pic and the right to voice my opinion either way. I've posted towards several other very good photographers my disapproval of some of their shots from time to time. You've got to be able to take criticism from all angles and all viewers.

Now maybe the word "tact" should be thrown in the mix when asking for criticism. With that, I could definitely agree with your statement. Later, QD.

thanks QD and i agree with you but some people are annoying when doing so and most of the time they give it when its not asked for. i never saying anything neg about anyones pictures just because i know i need improvement in some areas.

You're too sensitive. It doesn't matter how good you get at anything, there will always be wiseguys who will chime in to suggest how "<X> would have been better if you had <Y>ed".

Putting something in a public forum means that people will form their own opinions on it. If the criticism bothers you (whether legitimate or not), then maybe putting it in a forum where feedback isn't possible (like your own web gallery) is a better idea.

I think he's leaning towards the way people might criticize. You don't have to come into a thread saying "damn you're pictures are shit." Use good character when giving out critiques, you know. Later, QD.

Tact, and even sometimes courtesy is lost on 95% of the people on IA. As soon as they suspect or think that you're trying to tell them something they don't know, or disagree with, or make them look bad, they take the entire post as a personal attack.... even if it isn't the case. Check my post history. I get all sorts of flames and profanity from posters here for what (in the end) are pretty un-remarkable posts (especially compared to other posts on here).

I am surprised to see you say that. You're one of the kings of "seagull posting" behavior on this board. Perhaps you might benefit from taking some of your own advice?

Nice pics... horses are my bread and butter. Longer lenses tend to proportion their bodies better.

It's cool QD, I can take critisism just fine but don't go out and buy a camera one week and next week you start picking apart pictures when the ones you post are nothing amazing them selfs. I am not a ass hole who thinks I am the best at photography and was not saying I can't take critism. Chad gives some of the harshes critism out there and he is able to do so because he is miles ahead of me. I am not saying that Chad is the only one worth of giving critism. There's a few on here that IMO is well worthy of giving it.
