Default New to photography, just got a d5000 these are my first pics...CC wanted pweeeze

My d5000 arrived yesterday and today I was just bored and took a couple pics, this camera is worlds better than my pns! Coming from only having used pns cameras, slr's are sooo much more complex but I think I am starting to get it...these were shot on aperture priority as I refuse to use automatic.

Your cat looks like Puss in Boots from Shrek!

Get him a fancy hat and a sword and then take some more photos

Looks great! Tips I always give people picking up a new camera:

    1. Develop your own style without being too drastic!
    2. Read your Manual
    3. Read your Manual
    4. Read your Manual
    5. Read your Manual

LOL reading it was the first thing I do. I read the manual with everything first, phones, cameras, etc...except cars. Nothing in those manuals I don't already know lol j/k.

I went out shooting today and had a blast!
