Thread: first time polishing rims.

  1. #1

    Default first time polishing rims.

i have some fat5s on my teg and was trying to sell them but no luck.

Had the day off from work and was bored, so i started to polish them. I only got one done with the sanding portion. and have a huge blister on my thumb.

    comments welcome.

got done polishing them after i got home from work. found some polish laying around the house

    new pics

You didn't take your time, you need to start with at the very least 800 and work your way up

you got some work to do if you polishing those, they are still quite hazy.. you rushed through one of the steps somewhere.. just look at the DIY section and the polishing wheels thread, my work is in there so i know wat im talkin about..

Just take your time and make sure it's even. Also make sure you are wet sanding. After that go to steel wool. Then Rough with a table top buffer then to polish

Remove that weight and have the tire balanced with some sticker weights
