its not THAT dumb...id say... maybe he gets enough traction on the rear and would prefer for the car not to steer out of control? Most of the weight is in the front, so if the front tires skid, odds are he's hitting something. Mustangs arent 4WS either.

Ironically enough I was just talking to some friends from back home, including the guy who took this picture about how much it was getting around the internet. Sure enough I find it on IA, lol. You'd be surprised how common it is for morons to do stuff like this, and how damn bitter they get when you point it out. lol As one of my friend's said, we all have stories about idiots and snow.
