that does help... I looked it up and I am pretty much convinced this will be my next purchase. How does it do with high iso images? I would love to get usable shots at 1600 iso.

It does well with high iso low light shots. I have used it up to 3200 with, virtually no grain reduction needed. Hope this helps!

it does! piss on buying expensive fast glass. being able to bump up the iso without major consequence makes up for shooting through lenses that have good focus capabilities but poor light gathering capabilities.

In addition to what was mentioned by sleepyS4, the new autofocus system on the 7D is nice as well. It's fast. There are several different types of selective AF modes to play with so it not only makes the focusing easier and faster but tracking as well.

    And I'm currently shooting a 7D with
    24-70 2.8L
    70-200 2.8L
    100 2.8 macro
    kit lens

But I want to invest in more primes.

i'm jealous... the reviews are painting this camera to be a real winner.

Yeah. It's the all around "do anything" camera. I wanted FF for the longest time but went with the 7D instead. I'm very happy with it for now. FF prices are dropping so we'll see.
