This morning I finished designing a full 1:1 scale BMW M3. It has taken nearly a month, which I think isn't to bad considering it came from nothing. Only blue prints were used.
Every chrome detail and engine detail was projected onto the cars surface, M3 and BMW badges, working brake and head lights, FULL engine bay, and even full interior.
The chrome factory rims will also change from shot to shot to others I have designed (TE37, a few BBS's)
My project will be a some were around 3 minute long video of a wide range of shots I hope.
Everything from standard street, city, and garage shots like these included,
to the car actually racing around a fully rendered race track.
FIXES AND FUTURE PLANS:
The car still has some reflection issues and will go from being pure white to dirty shit white just from changing angles at times,
so im still working out what color is should actually be.
The steering wheel isn't linked to the wheels yet,
cause I have still not found out how to get it to work.
Wheels still need to get a little more detail, and tires tread pattern and bump map still needs to be added.
I still need to design many parts and scenes of the race track, which will most likely take much longer than this did.
And finally the clips will have to be rendered out to a viewer. Each frame is rendered one by one.
So for 3 minutes we are looking at 4320 frames, these pics that are attached
are 1 individual frame, each took about 5-6 minutes in full 1080HD and nearly
production movie screen quality. So i will most likely be taking it
somewhere to get rendered when finished.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!![]()
