Default BMW e30 Suede Stage I Complete

Door panels wrapped in synthetic suede using 3M #77 spray adhesive and the plastic pieces were sprayed with satin black Krylon Fusion. Still too glossy so may wait a week and spray with flat black or the soft touch interior trim spray. The pull handle bezel was broken so I didn't bother painting it, I'm attempting to wrap it instead lol...err we'll see how that works out!

    Shitty pics!

Jason, let me know when/if you do the headliner. I've been wanting to do mine for some time now since its looking like shit and sagging. I'll be curious as to how difficult it is since I've never pulled one out.

can you tell me where you specifically bought the suede? It looks to be a damn good match for my seats.

be careful when you are out just buying suede. If you buy some of the cheap stuff, it might not be uv resistant that well and can fade very fast. The glue that you used is ok on some pieces, and not on other. If you are doing just a flat panel, then normally you will be ok. if you have bends/contours in the paneling, then it can become a nightmare. I have heard/fixed some horror stories on people trying to use it on headliners. Some (few) cars that glue seems to work ok on, but alot of cars it ends up giving way and starts to sag

Just want to put that out there as an upholster because it is so much more when people bring me things that are screwed up then if you bring it to an upholster to begin with.

Not that i am trying to discourage anyone, just want people to know about what can happen and the cost if it does happen

My stuff is very unlikely to be UV resistant, it was really cheap and I have never done it before...but the tint I will probably be using blocks 99% UV light soo we'll see what happens. This isn't a show car anyways, it's 25 year old with a newer swap and will be driven.

I haven't done the ceiling yet because I've been researching adhesives and contact cements to use on it knowing the #77 may not be the best...
