Pic2 (flowers) are an example of what you want to avoid with flash photos. If possible, use an external flash and bounce the light to avoid having such a hard shadows (unless the shadow is something you are going for). As it is, the subject in the photo is underexposed. I'd guess that you use the built-in flash (which is pretty weak)

Oh yeah, the first pic is way dark/underexposed (unless you were going for a silhouette type effect)

The last one was a hoopdy jsu trying to mess with settings, the flower too just messing with the flash. Still trying to get used to everything, thanks for looking.
