Default Good nightshots using a point and shoot camera

I have a basic Sony Cybershot and I would like to get a nice looking night shot of my car. I tried using the automatic twilight settings but no flash was too dark and with the flash it looked like crap. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Can't help you, but seeing your name brings back an old face. How are you, man? You still in the same spot? Later, QD.

I'm across I-20 now. Still in this town, though. Just down Salem Rd.

Still holding the night shift down at the plant? Later, QD.

do you have some kind of bulb setting? it looked too dark because the shutter wasn't open long enough.
