Started this earlier today. Inspired by the books I've been reading by Carl Sagan.
This was only my third or fourth attempt at this, but it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. Definitely a lot of fun.

OP, nice telescope!
If this was a telescope, it would be a Nikkor 20,000-50,000 f/2.8 AFS ED FX glass.Originally Posted by james

or atleast it looks like it could be the earth.
lol. That, and I would have discovered new planets in our solar system.
I was just trying to make planetary satellites that looked like they were made of rock and metal.
I don't really think either of the smaller ones look a whole lot like Earth.
Nice work man.. reminded me of one i did back in 2006. i feel old now.
"The 1911 is a collection of subsystems that must work together. Each part must be prepared and fit properly not only in and of itself, but also with regard to the other parts with which it must operate for the gun to function and appear as desired."
Good stuff Danny.
I forgot you were into this sort of thing.
I'm gonna try to figure out how to add rings later... and I definitely need to get some more texture plug ins for photoshop.
the only issue i see with it is the lens flare on the red planet should be a in front of the planet and not behind it.
yea I caught that too... That was the first or second layer I created and I didn't bring the flare to the front when I should saved it in jpeg form.Originally Posted by zimabog
