    it was a 5dmkII, but the eos utility will work with any canon dslr i think.

    Anything you can do on the Utility you can do on the DSLR camera body (maybe p&s's too?). It's just nice to be able to control it remotely though. My body doesn't detect a remote any more so I have to use the timer which is a major PITA waiting 10 seconds between shots. If my laptop battery lasted more than 15 minutes (2 1/2 years old) i'd use it on site with the utility lol!

    FU for having a 5Dmkii.

    the body doesn't control settings for time lapse stuff. also, the shutter is only good for 30" unless you have a remote. And even when you do have a remote, you still have to time it with s stopwatch or someting else. but with the utility you can time it in bulb to whatever you want and when the timer is up it will close the shutter.

    Time elapse? You mean a pic every few seconds or minutes automatically?!!
