Lol, tripod at a fair does not sound like fun. Might want to look into getting a monopod. I am looking at one but not sure yet.

Talk to Paul about PS, I think he might be able to hook you up.

Well lets set something up to head to a park or head up to one of the battlefields (Kennesaw, Chicamauga) and take some pics.

I'll have to talk to Paul then.

I'll have to look into a monopod.

I've never been to the Battlefields. What's that about?

Where some of the battles during the civil war took place. They are proctected by the gvmt so there are some rich colors to shoot there as well as a lot of history.

http://ngeorgia.com/travel/kennesawmtn.html is a link to some information about the one in Kennesaw and then there is one in Chicamauga. I want to head down to Savannah and take some pics of the Antebelleum architechture down there.

Here are some pics I took tonight.

Again, comments are welcomed. These turned out better than the last ones I took of my car. I'm trying, I'm trying.

Like I said, I'm starting to get the hang of the camera. I still want to take more pics.

the second one I like but I think you should have been down a little lower when you took it. The first one looks like it needs a polorize filter on it to tone down some of the reflection on the side. I think I would have moved over to the left a little more and shot it that way. Just a suggestion.

You know, I didn't think about using a polarizing filter on that shot because I figured it would make it too dark. The sun was about setting, so I figured I'd shoot it w/o. Now that I think about it you may be right though. I think it would've cut down on that reflection. I'll try it next time.

As for getting low, I still had on my work clothes so I wasn't gonna get sprawled out in those....

I did get some shots from much lower, but they were later and turned darker than I'd like. See:

I was rushing. I had a tripod and could've done better, but I was getting frustrated with myself and called it a day.

A polar filter will not make it any darker but it will help with reflections and composition. I think that is what he told me, lol. I have to order some for mine. I think you might be referring to the ND filter, that will make it darker for sure.

I understand about the work clothes and not wanting to get sprawled out on the ground but if you want that killer shot

I will play around with this pic in PS and see what I can do with it. I might be able to get it a little better.

If you want to read some good info on how to set up pics and stuff Go Here and look at the transportation section. There is a guy there MoboHaji that is awesome and can give you some great pointers.
