It's basically a glorified Point and shoot. Panasonic Lumix FZ-30. It's an SLR style body just not SLR.

Can you adjust shutter speed on it?

Thats cool. On that last picture i noticed its really noisy/grainy. I'm guessing you shot with a really high iso since it was dark? If you have a tripod try shooting with a longer shutter speed and keep your iso as low as you can. When you shoot with a high iso its makes your picture look very grainy.

Well either way, iso 100 or iso 200, the pictures shouldn't be that noisy.

It is a glorified Point and Shoot shot at night. Noise is going to be an issue. The sensor just can't do night time landscapes.

No offense to the camera owner and the camera itself. It is a good camera

None taken. I know what I'm working with. It's actually not too bad when I turn the iso down to 80. I was just trying to see how much noise I was gonna get when shooting above that. I'm still a noob when it comes to shooting anything at this point so figuring out what works and what doesnt is pretty much trial and error for me

I hear yah. Point and Shoot cameras need good lighting or the sensor has to start 'guessing' and filling in holes. Thus you get all the noise.

The photo isn't bad. I bet if you ran it through noise ninja it would not be noisy at all.

it could be due to what he's doing during the PP.

    TRUE TING

PnS' are helpless unless they have a sufficient amount of light.

    ie

and it still managed to be a tad on the noisy side
