well experience/trial and error are the best ways. Your good at picture so i'm sure you'll learn quick.
If you get a mobile generator you will have LOTS of fun with those and cars as subjects.

yeah but im n00bish to this. what i dont understand is backlight is f5.6 and the main is f8 but this old school stuff isnt uh adjustable, they all flash the same
excuse me if im not using the right terminology im very new to flash, i have never really liked it and stuck to natural light. now that i have progressed more i really see the need to do this, off camera flash will take me to the next step i just have to wrap my brain around it

NON ADJUSTABLE?!
yeah i can choose 240 or 120 watts of flash but when i choose one setting they all flash with the same intensity
