well experience/trial and error are the best ways. Your good at picture so i'm sure you'll learn quick.
If you get a mobile generator you will have LOTS of fun with those and cars as subjects.

excuse me if im not using the right terminology im very new to flash, i have never really liked it and stuck to natural light. now that i have progressed more i really see the need to do this, off camera flash will take me to the next step i just have to wrap my brain around it
