Not being a dick but the first dog is NOT a real Pit or AMSTAFF. What is does look like is a bulldog mixed with a pit so that you can try to make a thicker dog. I love these breeds and have had them all my life. I think it's so funny to hear all these people brag about their pits that are not even in true guidelines of color, height, weight, build etc... If you just love your dog no matter it's true heritage that's great and I appreciate your love of dogs. But all this blue nose this, red nose that , gotti line, razors edge line, gator line bullshit is just that.... bullshit! Color don't mean shit as far as the gameness of the dog or it's abillities/inteligence and most of the dogs that claim to be from this or that particular line can't back that shit up with documentation(other than who the mother and father is) and their dogs will not be in breed specs. A good breeder will have a pedigree that you can purchase for additional money to prove it's heritage and show it's family breeding line for years back and should have shown there dogs in dog shows to prove it's in specs and controlable. Most people are just backyard breeders who have no idea what they are doing. On top of that the general public could not even tell a ABPT from an Amstaff and yes there is a size difference. The APBT should be smaller, more game.

So, I got my baby from a guy in Cabbagetown and paid $150 bucks for her. She is the best dog evar! Flawed to hell (tail too long, underbite, long ass jowls, etc...................) but the closest to the real thing I could find. Ha! We wanted an agile dog (so she could jump up in the truck by herself for the most part). Real AMSTAFFs are just that from my research. The bullies are a lot shorter and a little less agile...but I think they still have their place and are cool dogs.
